Always been a fan....BUTFeb 19, 2010 I have always been a fan of NAV and Internet Security (even during the bloated years) but this new version has a "feature" that I find VERY aggravating and I have to wonder if it is even legal. Apparently, when you hit your 1 year anniversary the Software gets COMPLETELY disabled and Windows Defender gets turned back on. I can understand being blocked out from any further definition and software updates but I find it really tacky that they can completely disable software that you have paid for in full after one year. If we choose to continue to run the software even after updates are stopped we should be able to do that. It really seems unlawful to me somehow that they are able to completely disable software that you have paid for. But I guess that is just me.
BAD Bad interface!Feb 16, 2010 I have Norton Internet Security on my PC and I will NEVER use it again! No way to stop full system scans.
(They) know what is "best" for you. So you have no control over this setting. If you happen to be in
front of your PC you can stop a scan, but NO way to stop it from automatically starting, absolutely no
access to a scheduling page. I am an advanced PC user, build systems from mobo on up and do registry
changes so I am not a noob. This software SUX! What I like is the free AntiVir at avira dot com. After
being through the hell of Norton Internet Security I will NEVER buy ANY Norton OR Symantec product!
Oh, one more item, when your expensive subscription runs out, you will get a very annoying NAG screen
EVERY time you start your PC, but there's more! you can NOT get rid of it with one click, it takes THREE
whole clicks to get it off you screen. It tells you subscription ran out, do you want to renew? Answer
is set to yes, you have to click pull-down menu, click no, click ok. Clearly "they" think they were very
clever about how good they could annoy you into re-subscribing, did they think about those that would just
delete Norton just because of the annoyances??? But we can profit more if we annoy customers into re-
subscribing!
Great ValueFeb 12, 2010 The 2009 edition is a great value in that it comes with a free upgrade to 2010 version. Having a home network makes Internet Security the best choice in that it includes firewall protection. I have used Norton products for many years and have been extremely satisfied. The one year I tried another brand it turned out to be a big mistake. The other brand was a memory hog and slowed the system down. Norton Internet Security has a great balance between resource utilization, speed and performance.

Works with Windows 7Jan 27, 2010 Although the autorun wouldn't install at first saying it was incompatible with my version of Windows (7), I ran the setup after right clicking on the folder and it installed perfectly.
TerribleDec 27, 2009 They have terrible customer service. I started to use AVG because it's free and much better than Norton. I was just waiting for my service to lapse on the Norton when they automatically charged my credit card to renew. It's in the FINE print when you sign up. You have to send like 10 emails to stop the automatic re-enrollement.
In order for you to get your money back after the automatic re-enroll you must sit through 30 minutes of the most mind numbing music ever composed. It's a 100% ploy to get you off the phone to stop the cancellation. I love rap, rock, classical, and pop. No person in their right mind could possibly sit through this music without holding it away from your ear.
Hung up a few times and called on different days. Each call was no less than 30 minute wait and some calls were automatic hang ups after connection. Took me 3-4 hours on 4-5 days to get refund.
NOT WORTH IT!!! Go with AVG...it's free and worked all the bugs that Norton left on!!
