5Awsome gameSep 03, 2010
An excellent game for anyone who likes Sci-Fi and third person shooters. A good storyline and graphics help too.

Also the packaging rocked--a small (smaller than Amazon's free shipping boxes), fitted cardboard box that costed next to nothing to deliver from my local courier.

A great game, fast shipping--recommend 100 percent!

4Mass Effect 1 (The Start)Aug 23, 2010
The best thing I liked about this game is the story line. It kept me wanting to know more as I played it. As a fan of fiction and anything to do with space exploration, I felt like this game truly got what I was looking for. The game allows you to have conversations with party members and allows you to make your own decisions that will later impact the story of the game, giving you the power to call the shots. The characters are also unique and what you do with them will play a large role in the story line. The aliens are extremely realistic and combat really puts you as the main character of this unique and interesting story.
I would not suggest this game to children since there is content intended for mature audiences only.
Other than that this game is recommend especially if you wish to play the sequel (which by the way takes this game to a whole other level).

5Mass EffectAug 21, 2010
Mass Effect is a great RPG/TPS. Anyone who likes to play one or both of those genres should definitely check it out. The plot is exciting, as it is set in the different future. Alien life had been discovered several decades previous to the game and the many races all have very unique attributes. As a commander in the Human Alliance, it is your job to help the human race meld into galactic life. Great graphics, an amazingly good plotline with in-game decision making that affects what will happen, as well as exciting action game play gets Mass Effect a 5/5.

5You gotta have one.Aug 21, 2010
This was one very impressive game great story lots of action lots to do great location and visuals A+ all the way, if you don't have one you gotta get one enough said.

5One of the best games ever!Aug 05, 2010
Rarely does a game come along that intrigued me with its storyline as much as Mass Effect did. I typically do not like RPG games a lot, but Mass Effect had me captivated. Bioware has created several masterpieces in its time, and this is one of them. Here are a few thoughts on the game itself:

The inventory system is fun, but can get annoying later in the game when you keep having to sell (or convert to omni-gel) your items.

The mini-games (for hacking things) are pretty easy and you will almost always successfully hack whatever you are trying to open.

Exploring planets can get really boring the second and third play-throughs. The MAKO needs to go faster!

The amount of depth for each character is incredible. You learn their likes, dislikes, history, etc. Every person has their own personality, and it is evident from the way they behave.

Your decisions throughout the game affect the outcome. Always the sign of a good RPG.

The balance of character classes is a little off. Unfortunately biotic powers are not nearly as strong as weapons in this game, so playing as an adept is much harder than as a soldier.

There are tons of planets to discover in the Mass Effect universe. Going to all of them and uncovering the stories there makes not only this game much more interesting, but also contributes greatly to Mass Effect 2!

This is one of the top games of the decade and one tha thas lots of replay value. I highly recommend it for somebody looking for a fun action game with an extremely immersive story.
